Leslie Norris, CEO of leading technology-centric PR agency SNG PR , has recently been named one of the Top v|100 Entrepreneurs for 2006 in the state of Utah by vSpring Capital, a venture capital fund.
Members of the v|100 are chosen through a peer-nominated and peer-selected process. The v|100 list is comprised of individuals with ties to the state of Utah who are most likely to lead a successful startup venture in the next five to seven years in the information technology or biotech industries in a chief executive or chief technical officer role. The v|100 is currently in its third year and was conceived by vSpring as a tool to recognize the region's outstanding entrepreneurs, as well as to increase support, partnering and collaboration among Utah's top entrepreneurs.
"To be recognized as one of the top entrepreneurs in the state is an honor," Norris said. "It is a passion for me to engage in building a strong business environment here in Utah. Norris is a seasoned marketing communications professional that has delivered world-class strategic marketing counsel, public relations and advertising/promotional programs during the course of her 20+ year career. Her strong entrepreneurial spirit has brought much success and business to Salt Lake's technology industry, as well as to the national marketplace.
The lion's share of Norris' experience has been in the technology and electronic industries; serving in executive marketing roles both internally and as a consultant with such companies as Motorola, Iomega, and Belkin.
In 2002, Norris founded SNG, building a strong reputation with fundamental public relations processes and strategic counsel for its clients in the marketplace.
